Walter Leon, MD

Dr. Walter Leon completed his undergraduate degree at University of Texas Arlington. Afterwards, he attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston (UTMB) for medical school and his pediatric residency, where he obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD). He started his practice, Walter Leon M.D. P.A. in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1990 and later relocated the practice to its current location in Arlington, Texas in 1995.
Dr. Leon is married with one daughter. He enjoys skiing, scuba diving, and tennis in his free time.
Linh Doan Pham, DO
Pediatrician, Owner
Dr. Linh Doan Pham completed her undergraduate at Seattle University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Psychology. Afterwards, she attended Michigan State University, where she received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). She furthered this by completing her internship at Bi-County Community Osteopathic Hospital and residency at Henry Ford Hospital and Devos Children’s Hospital for her pediatric residency. She has been employed with Walter Leon M.D. P.A. since 2006. She is a Board Certified Pediatrician.
Heather Smith, MD
Pediatrician
Dr. Heather Smith received her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from Illinois State University. She attended the University of Maryland at Baltimore where she received her Doctor of Medicine (MD). She then completed her pediatric residency at Sinai Children’s Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She and her family moved to the Gulf Coast where she practiced medicine in Mobile, Alabama and Ocean Springs, Mississippi for ten years before starting her own solo practice in Ocean Springs. She then moved to the DFW area where she joined Children’s Health Pediatric Group in Cedar Hill, Texas prior to joining Walter Leon M.D. P.A. in September 2018.
She enjoys spending time cheering on her two teenage sons at their football games, gardening, cooking, and reading.

Lekeisha Whitaker, MD
Pediatrician
Dr. Lekeisha Whitaker is a Louisiana native who attended Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana where she received a Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in Biology. She later received a Masters (MS) degree in Biomedical Science from UNTHSC in Fort Worth, Texas prior to attending Texas A&M College of Medicine where she obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2009. She completed her Pediatric Residency Training at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee in 2012. Dr. Whitaker is board certified and has been employed at Walter Leon MD PA since 2012. She is married with two kids.
Lyle Workman, MD
Pediatrician, Clinical Director
Dr. Lyle Workman was born and raised in North Texas. He completed his undergraduate at Baylor University with a major in Biochemistry and minor in Medical Humanities. He attended Medical School at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2012. He also completed his residency in Pediatrics at UTMB, finishing in 2015. Since then, he has been employed at Walter Leon M.D. P.A., where he serves as a pediatrician and clinical director.
Dr. Workman is married to his wife Jo Anna and has five children. He loves spending time with his family and enjoys the outdoors!
